Return of Simeon Powell
British MMA fighter Simeon Powell is gearing up for his comeback at Bellator London on September 14. The 25-year-old Londoner, often compared to UFC legend Jon Jones due to his 6ft 5in light-heavyweight physique, is ready to step back into the cage.
Previous Matches and Anticipation
Despite facing defeat in the PFL Europe final last year, Powell is eager to make his mark. After a last-minute opponent change in Dublin back in June, Powell is now all set to face Rafael Xavier in London. The quick turnaround has him excited to showcase his skills to his hometown crowd at the OVO Wembley Arena.
Exciting Undercard
On the same card, Powell's teammate Luke Trainer will also be in action against Laurynas Urbonavicius. Trainer, known for his 8-1 record and a romantic proposal in the cage last year, is looking to continue his winning streak.
Main Event Showdown
The night's main event will feature Fabian Edwards in a rematch against Johnny Eblen for the Bellator middleweight title. Eblen, the defending champion, secured a victory over Edwards last September. This time, Edwards is determined to rewrite history as part of the first brothers to hold two MMA world titles.
