The Infamous Elevator Brawl

Bruce Buffer, the iconic voice of the UFC octagon, is known for his captivating announcing skills. However, almost two decades ago, he found himself in a brawl of his own. Buffer got into a scuffle with ex-UFC star Frank Trigg in an elevator, and their boss Dana White witnessed the whole incident.

Compliments Turned Ugly

During the UFC's Fight Pass Series show Fightlore, Buffer and White recalled the incident. It all started when Trigg entered the elevator with Buffer, White, and a security guard. Trigg began discussing a pay raise with White, but Buffer interrupted to compliment White's watch. Little did they know, chaos was about to ensue.

A Fight Breaks Out

Buffer, who has a black belt in Tang Soo Do and experience as a kickboxer, was taken aback when Trigg unexpectedly hit him in the neck. Buffer retaliated with two punches, and the brawl escalated. They continued fighting for the duration of the elevator ride, which lasted about 15 to 25 seconds. The intense scuffle only ended when Trigg accidentally kneed one of Buffer's friends.

An Unexpected Ending

As the elevator doors opened, Buffer realized the extent of his injuries. His shirt was covered in blood, and his thumb was visibly injured. Trigg, a ranked UFC fighter at the time, had sliced Buffer's hand open with his watch. Surprisingly, despite the altercation, Buffer and Trigg maintained their friendship.
