Charles Oliveira takes aim at Justin Gaethje for his 'quitter jibe' and claims that UFC star Khabib 'died.

After the Brazilian hit back at recent insults, the war of words between Charles Oliveira & Justin Gaethje grew even more.

Gaethje, a fan favorite, called his opponent a 'quitter" and stated that he expected Dustin Poirier will beat him easily when they meet in December.

Justin Gaethje was defeated by Khabib in his last outing.

Oliveira, however, was not having it. He claimed that The Highlight had 'died' during his last visit to the Octagon.

Gaethje lost his last fight in October 2020 to Khabib Nurmagomedov. He will next face Michael Chandler, who has been out for over a year.

Oliveira spoke out about his win over Chandler on the Portuguese-language podcast Trocacao Franca. He said that Chandler landed a good hand and had the chance to knock me out. But he couldn't.

"I went there, and knocked him down. Justin Gaethje was able to fight against Khabib for the belt and you all saw the results.

"The most horrible fight I've ever witnessed in my life, he was killed, so I don’t have any words.

"You know when a man needs to speak to get in the limelight? That's my understanding of what's happening here. He must speak to be in the spotlight."

Oliveira defeated Chandler in the second round.

Gaethje will be facing his American counterpart at UFC 268 next month. This is his first fight since his defeat to Khabib one year ago.

The lightweight championship will be won by 32-year-old Oliveira against Conor McGregor's champion Poirier at UFC 269, December 11.

If both men win those bouts, then a big fight between them is possible for the beginning of next year.
