Chris Leben, an ex-UFC star, has said that he is grateful to be alive after a hard fight with Covid.
The 41-year old, who was admitted earlier this month, uploaded a long video to social media, from his hospital bed, detailing the health problems he's been experiencing.
After contracting Covid
, Leben was in serious condition.
He spoke on Instagram and said that his lungs took the most damage.
"They said that 100 percent of my lungs were damaged. But they also stated that 100 percent recovery was possible. I believe that's what's going on."
It's going take some time. I started slow. But, it's still me, man. I'm still here. For that, I am so grateful.
"It is a blessing to be able to fight my way to 100 percent health.
"When you're there I was and you're here now, I'll tell ya what, everything is a blessing."
Leben shared another picture of his son giving him a hug at the hospital.
He added the caption, "The longest without seeing my son." It was a huge hug. ![]()

He then added: "I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone."
"But I learned much from this experience and I'll return 100 percent.
It might take a while, but it's still a year. If I were dead, I wouldn’t have the chance."
Livingston, who retired last year from combat sports, has a professional MMA record that includes 22 wins and 12 losses.
In 2006, he was in a UFC middleweight title eliminator with Anderson Silva. He lost in the first round.
