COLBY COVINGTON called for a THIRD FIGHT with Kamaru Uman following his grudge match against Jorge Masvidal.
Covington will resolve the matter with Masivdal, a former friend and now enemy on March 5, in the UFC 272 headliner.
Colby Covington would like a trilogy with Kamaru Uman
Both were twice defeated by UFC champion Usman, welterweight.
Recently, Covington (33), was defeated in a narrow points loss. This happened two years after their thrilling final round.
The American contender, however, wants to fight Usman, 34, in a three-fight series if he defeats Masvidal (37), despite being down 2-0.
Covington stated at the UFC 270 weigh in show that: "The people saw Madison Square Garden and New York City, what happened in that fight."
"I easily won three rounds. I think I won four rounds. He clearly won the second round.
"I won the first three, fourth, and fifth fights, so people saw that. They want to fight again.

"There must be a trilogy, because he hasn’t proven that he is a better fighter.
"He hasn’t proven that he’s the best welterweight fighter in the world, but there’s still work to be done.
"So, I believe that after I finish Jorge Masvidal's March 5th, it will put me back in line for my title shot."
Masvidal also has consecutive losses to Usman in July 2020, and April 2020 with a brutal knockout.
