CONOR McGREGOR accepted Michael Chandler's request for a fight in 2022.
The Irishman also congratulated Justin Gaethje on his performance at the UFC weekend.
After the showdown, both fighters were taken to hospital by Gaethje, who won 29-28 and 29-28 respectively, while Gaethje was able to win 30-27 according the judges' scorecards.
Chandler took to social media Monday and tweeted a photohopped image of McGregor and Chandler squaring at weigh-ins.
35-year-old American simply wrote "2022"
And an hour later, the Notorious replied in uncharacteristically-harmonious fashion.
McGregor, 33 years old, stated that he was down at one point for certain.
Mike, great fight! Congratulations!
Chandler added, "Thanks sir." It would be a pleasure. We will see you soon.
McGregor is still out of the Octagon as he heals from the injury to his leg in July against Dustin Poirier.
While speculation continues about his next UFC opponent, the Dublin star will be taking on impressionist and friend Al Foran in a charity wheelchair boxing match.
The former UFC champion at two-weight has lost three of the last four MMA fights, including both to Poirier and Poirier.
These took his total record to 22-6 in the sport.
The record of Chandler is almost identical, 22-7. It features, like McGregor, back-to-back losses in his last two appearances.
