CONOR MCGREGOR accepted a challenge against Khamzat Chimaev, after his former opponent Nate Diaz manipulated him via social media.
As he continues to heal from the injury to his leg in July, the 33-year-old Irishman is still waiting for a date.
McGregor is currently recovering from the fractured leg sustained in his last fight
He's coming off two losses to Dustin Poirier in the first round knockout and the rematch with doctor's stoppage.
His old rival Diaz suggested McGregor face undefeated fighter Chimaev. This was something that the Dublin-born star has accepted.
Diaz spoke on Twitter and said that he [McGregor] should fight kamrat [Khamzat Chimiev].
"That would be a great fight. He just needs to find a new fighter.
"He can cut back and see if it helps him fight. Nate, that is a great idea. Thanks."
McGregor replied to Diaz by saying: "No problem, B***h."
The post was deleted by the UFC's former world champion at two-weight.
Chimaev also got involved in the discussion, posting an emoji that showed a handshake and a casket, seemingly to threaten McGregor.
Chimaev stopped his opponents in just two rounds in his 10 professional MMA bouts.
He is one the most exciting prospects in the UFC. His latest appearance was at the end October, when he submitted Li Jingliang within three minutes.
McGregor revealed that he has lost two and a quarter stone since his weigh-in before taking on Dustin Poirier at lightweight in August.
McGregor has been putting on weight recently, and it seems to be paying off. He tweeted: "190lbs granite."
