McGregor has slowly increased the intensity of his training sessions since then.

His early training was mainly strength training. He has been limited to what he is able to do while he heals from his broken leg.

McGregor gained weight and was able to reveal that he weighed in at 190lb or 13st 5lb.

According to his Instagram post, the UFC two-weight champion has maintained his muscle mass.

Cian Cowley, his SBG teammate and frequent sparring partner, commented on the matter: "Steaks and eggs the same size as you."

Cowley wasn't the only one. A fan wrote: "Heavyweight champion next?"

Another wrote: "Heavyweight champion?" Ngannou stands no chance."

McGregor, 33 years old, was unable to return to the UFC after sustaining an injury against Dustin Poirier (32), just seconds before round one ended.

Poirier, who was defeated by McGregor in 2014, but won the rematch via knockout, later challenged for the lightweight belt.

He was defeated by 32-year-old champion Charles Oliveira who went on to call out The Notorious.

Chael Sonnen (44), a former UFC title challenger, predicted that McGregor would leapfrog Justin Gaethje (33) to a title shot.

According to his YouTube channel, "There is a story that Conor McGregor will fight Charles Oliveira for the title."

Charles Oliveira, a man who can support the story, is here. Charles replied, "Justin Gaethje has done everything right, it's not disrespect, but I'm taking my red panty night."

"Okay, so we must listen to the champions of the world. We are not going to disrespect Justin Gaethje, but we will put that on hold.

"Oliveira has the freedom to do what is best for him, and he's made it clear that he will not allow the number one contender to win, no matter who it may be. Justin Gaethje.

"But, regardless of who it is, he'll push them aside if it means red pantsy night against Conor McGregor."
