Conor McGregor believes UFC champ Kamaru Uman copied his Floyd Mayweather call out when he challenged Canelo

CONOR MCGREGOR seems to believe that UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman copied his gimmick.

The UFC's poster child has accused Nigerian Nightmare multiple times of taking his schtick.

The Notorious is convinced that The Nigerian Nightmare is back

McGregor, after watching the promotion's first African-born champion pass Jorge Masvidal at UFC 26,1, tweeted: "Usman even copied my shots now.

"Am I allowed to fight him at any stage?" I believe so.

"Can't copy my words and take my shots without getting a smack for doing so. 170 is my favorite. It will be mine soon."

In case Usman echoes any of The Notorious’ sayings, MMA fans have been adamant about Usman's tweet.

Some noticed that his pitch to Canelo Alvarez for a boxing fight was similar in style to McGregor's planting the seed for his huge-money showdown against Floyd Mayweather.

Usman stated that he might have to drag Canelo out of the picture for The Schmo when discussing the welterweight title picture.

"When he's finished with all the guys that he runs through.

"It's never been done. I might have drag him, if in the Octagon I might have drag him in the Ring and actually take him.

"Pound-for-pound, it's never happened. Pound-for–pound [best] MMA fighter, and pound-for–pound [best] boxer.

"So, that could be next if these guys don't prove they're the next number-one contender."

McGregor stated that he was looking for help at this first UFC 205 prefight press conference, September 2016.

"I may have to jump up, f ****n drag Floyd Mayweather from bed and see what the **** he's doing."

McGregor was alerted by an MMA fan group who posted the clips to Instagram. He shared them to his story and added a laugh emoji.

McGregor, 33 years old, is currently sidelined with a broken leg he sustained in the UFC 264 rubber match against Dustin Poirier.

The Irishman is making a quicker recovery than expected and appears to be on track to return to the Octagon next year.

Adam's Apple told him last month that he felt like he could kick right now.

"I feel like I could kick right about now, but I have to listen to my doctors and listen to those who are leading me.

"That's all I've done so I've committed myself and am now back on my feet.

"It feels so good to get back on your feet."

Meanwhile, Usman is getting ready for a grudge match for the welterweight title against bitter rival Colby Covington. This will be headlined by UFC 268 on November 6.
