CONOR MCGREGOR, a sensational call for Ireland to LEAVE Europe in a Twitter rant, has called for it.
"The Notorious" took to social media to express his dissatisfaction at the Covid-19 restrictions that were placed on Friday night.
Taoiseach Micheal Mart presented a number of new measures at a Cabinet briefing. These included the closing of nightclubs as well as the return to mandatory table service in bars or restaurants.
McGregor, the owner of The Black Forge Inn, Dublin, was not impressed by the announcements and sent a torrent of tweets in an attempt to show his disapproval.
He stated, "Embarrassing leadership." Messengers. Lap dogs. This system can be purchased and shredded completely!
"Disband nphet. Realign the hse so it can do its job. In 2005, formed to support our hospitals. Instead, it was destroyed. 11.5m public-funded hse money was paid to media entities. This is just one year. Appalling.
"To be at such a high level of vaccination, yet go backwards, and to try now to talk about mandating. Laughable.
"Shame on all those in power today. EU traitors. This gravy train's tracks will be re-aligned to reach its destination, an Irish red brick wall.

"It's time to discuss Ireland's exit from the European Union.
"We don't have leaders in Ireland; we have messengers." Subordinates."
McGregor isn't the only one to criticize the Irish government over its decision regarding Covid-19 guidelines.
McGregor expressed disapproval when Micheal Martin announced that bars and restaurants would be closed in November. However, it was not as severe.
He tweeted, "Frustrated by these new restrictions in Ireland. We did our part and followed the rules.
"And yet, we continue to move backwards even as we go forwards.
"All that we ask for is clarity and we have never received it since the beginning."
It is not worth taking a chance
The Taoiseach explained the reasons behind Friday's new restrictions. He said that NPHET and the government could not allow the Omicron variant spread until they knew more.
He stated that Omicron is not a greater threat than it appears.
"And if this is true, it will be a great relief for us all. But we cannot risk people's lives or health.
"This Covid journey has been filled with many twists. Although this latest twist is disappointing, we are not far from where we were.
