He is determined to get another shot at the UFC lightweight title when he recovers from his injury.

McGregor, who beat Eddie Alvarez to the belt back in 2016, made no secret about his desire to face current champ Charles Oliveira.

After taking a bizarre shot against the most expensive footballer in history, Neymar is now a superstar footballer.

Oliveira, a Brazilian, shared a photo with Neymar last week where he thanked him and expressed his gratitude for his support.

McGregor responded by posting the image to his Instagram Story last night, saying that he would "smoke both of these".

McGregor has fought with Jose Aldo in the past to win his first UFC title back in 2015.

While he is still sidelined by injury, the Dubliner has been working hard to speed up his recovery so that he can return to the field before the end of the summer.

Since his 2016 title win, he has only won one Octagon fight, losing two to Dustin Poirier last January.

Oliveira beat Poirier by submission in December's last fight. He also won his eight last bouts in the Octagon, none of which went the distance.

Oliveira would love to skip the line to get a chance at the title, and is open to the possibility of facing him in May.

He replied, "May would make a great date. Conor challenged me to ask for a date and tweeted Ireland vs Brazil 2.

"He, as well as myself, and the entire world want to see this fight. Let's make this happen.

"I'm still waiting for him in May. It could be in welterweight or lightweight, with my title at stake, or both. You just need to choose, and I'll be there.
