The Notorious Returns
Conor McGregor, 35, is gearing up for his highly anticipated comeback fight in the UFC. The former two-division champion recently re-entered the USADA drug testing pool, signaling his readiness to return to the octagon.
UFC 300 Headliner?
McGregor has set his sights high, claiming that his comeback clash with Michael Chandler will be the headline event of the UFC 300 card. The promotion's partnership with the USADA ends on December 31, aligning perfectly with McGregor's expected return in April, the same month as the milestone pay-per-view offering.
McGregor's Bold Statement
In a now-deleted social media post, McGregor expressed his confidence, saying, "Picturing me running up this motherf***er with a chainsaw, UFC 300 is mine!!! This is Sparta baby, break the panties out."
Dana White's Response
While fans eagerly anticipate McGregor's return, UFC president Dana White has stated that he currently has no plans for the Irish fighter. However, White acknowledges that the UFC is working on plans for the historic UFC 300 card, which is expected to take place in Las Vegas.
Chandler's Expectations
Michael Chandler, McGregor's rival coach on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, is patiently waiting for official confirmation of the clash. Chandler believes that their fight, which he considers to be one of the biggest in a long time, should take place on the monumental UFC 300 card. Until then, he is keeping busy with training and preparations.
Long-Awaited Return
McGregor's last fight was in July 2021, where he suffered a leg injury. Since then, he has been recovering and eagerly anticipating his return to the octagon. Fans around the world are excited to see the Irish fighter back in action and hope to witness his comeback at UFC 300.
