Conor McGregor, the Irishman known for his prowess in the octagon, has set his sights on a trilogy bout with Nate Diaz. McGregor recently took a swing at both Jake Paul and Michael Chandler, dismissing the former and insulting the latter.

Setting the Stage

Back in 2016, McGregor engaged in two epic battles with Diaz, each winning one match. However, fans have been eagerly awaiting the decisive third match, which has yet to happen. Now, Diaz, 38, finds himself outside of the UFC and is about to make his boxing debut against YouTuber-turned-prizefighter Paul, 26, in Texas this weekend.

McGregor's Disdain for Paul Fight

Despite the hype surrounding Diaz's upcoming bout, McGregor made it clear that he is not a fan. Instead, he insisted that he will once again step into the cage with Diaz, aiming for the coveted "Baddest Mother F***er" belt won by Justin Gaethje against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor, 34, boldly tweeted, "Regardless of that nonsense, me and Nate will be completing the trilogy. I am going to go grab that bmf belt right quick for us to compete for it in the trilogy."

McGregor's Return and Dig at Chandler

McGregor has been out of action since breaking his leg in the first round of his bout against Poirier in July 2021. However, he is scheduled to face Chandler, 37, in his highly anticipated comeback. The two athletes recently served as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter.

Before McGregor can step back into the octagon, he must undergo six months of testing with the United States Anti-Doping Agency. However, he has yet to enter the testing pool, leaving the fight's status uncertain.

Adding fuel to the fire, after Gaethje's victory over Poirier for the BMF belt, McGregor called out the 34-year-old fighter. Furthermore, he took to Twitter and simply wrote, "F*** Chandler," distancing himself from his former coaching rival.

As fans eagerly await updates on McGregor's return and the possibility of the Diaz trilogy, the fighting world is buzzing with speculation.
