CONOR MCGREGOR dubbed Dana White as his 'brother in life', after UFC President Mike Tyson praised his loyalty.
McGregor was named by MMA mogul Teddy Atlas as one of the fighters whose loyalty helped to grow the UFC brand during a recent appearance on The Fight with Teddy Atlas podcast.
Conor McGregor & Dana White were at odds late last year
.
McGregor took note of this and wrote on Twitter: "My Brother for Life, Dana White!"
White admitted McGregor was a 'f ****ing handful over the years,' however.
He stated, "There have been many fighters that have been extremely loyal to me and they've been incredibly faithful to me."
"Conor McGregor is one of them.
"Conor is a f*cking handful boy but when you look at how fighters are built, it's different from everyone else on the planet.
"The Ronda Rouseys and Chuck Liddells. Matt Hughes, Conor McGregor. I don't want not to mention people, but there have been many fighters over 20 years who have been very loyal."
McGregor and White, both 33 and 52, are not strangers to letting their dirty laundry out in the open.
McGregor leaked messages between White and himself last September to prove that he wanted to fight again in 2020.
White was furious at the breach of trust and said during the UFC 253 press conference that "Everybody knows -- even the women -- this is some code stuff."
It's not something you do.
"It's one the most dangerous things you can do because we were only talking about Diego Sanchez.
"And Diego Sanchez is there in a private discussion I was having with Conor."
McGregor and Dustin Poirier eventually came to an agreement, and McGregor had back-to-back fights this year.
The UFC's first simultaneous world champion at two weight is currently recuperating from the terrible injury to his leg sustained in his fight with Poirier.
McGregor wants to return to sparring in spring, and recently stated that he would be fully trained in mixed martial arts sparring by April. Easily!
"By then, a return will become imminent. But I must be patient. "I will overcome this!"
White anticipates that the Irishman will be back in the cage within six months.
ESPN reported that he said: "If all goes well with the timing for his healing, he should return this summer."
