The Irishman was a former champion at featherweight and lightweight UFC, but he has fought three times at welterweight.
Conor McGregor stated that he was actually larger than Kelvin Gastelum, middleweight.
McGregor said that he could go on with the divisions, despite his injury to his leg from Dustin Poirier.
He replied, "What else can you do?" It's up to me to just take it one day at a time. I look forward to going back in.
"You know, you're watching all these little fools talk and that, little former middleweights they were, little middleweights.
"Yeah Kelvin Gastelum's five foot-nine, 71 inch reach. Kelvin is actually physically more muscular than me. He's fighting at middleweight.
"I'm going to just keep going up. You know what I mean? I don't know my weight right now, but I'm going to check the scales.
"And then, just keep going day by day."
McGregor, 33 years old, burst onto UFC's scene in 2013 at featherweight and claimed the title in two years.
Then, he made history when he became the first UFC champion to rule over both divisions simultaneously. He won the lightweight belt in 2016.
McGregor lost to Nate Diaz in 2016 at welterweight, but was victorious five months later.
After losing to arch-rival Khabib Nurmagomedov (2018), the southpaw returned in 2020 at welterweight.
He defeated Donald Cerrone, but he hasn't returned to the weight since. However, he did hint on Twitter that a fight at 170lb would be 'quite possible'.
McGregor, who has started to train again after his Los Angeles leg surgery, is now focusing on rehabilitation.
In his July trilogy bout with Poirier, he suffered a fractured tibia just seconds before round one.
McGregor was unable to finish the procedure and went under the knife immediately. He was scheduled to be on crutches for six more weeks.
McGregor, who previously said he was "well ahead of schedule", has now made an even quicker recovery.
Five days after his last operation, the former champion at two-weight uploaded a video of himself exercising on an exercise bike.
McGregor beat Poirier in 2014, but was defeated in the rematch in January. McGregor now wants to fight the American for the FOURTH time after their extraordinary ending.
