He was ridiculed and mocked by fans. Floyd Mayweather even got in on the action.

McGregor made a quick recovery and was able to take his first steps on the medical treadmill, which helped him lose weight in his lower half.

He posted a video of himself walking on Instagram with a caption saying: "Today's a momentous Day!" He is!

"I was able to walk for the first time since my surgery. I now have 50% of my large body weight.

"I did it in the new "Irish Green", Virgil Louis Abloh's.

"I have a long way to go, but it has been a huge personal boost today!" We are grateful for your continued support. God bless, happy Saturday."

McGregor broke his left tibia when his ankle gave out under him while he was stepping backwards during Poirier's fight.

He claimed that he had suffered "multiple stress fractures in his shinbone" before the fight began. However, he appears to be on the verge of regaining his fitness now that he has worn a leg brace since then.

McGregor even returned to the gym to train, wearing a protective boot that protects his left leg.

The UFC star is also enjoying a relaxing time at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where he shows off his PS450,000 "roulette" watch to his Instagram followers.

Although it is too early to predict when McGregor will return to the Octagon, a fourth fight against Poirier may be on his mind when he does.

Another fight with Nate Diaz, Jake Paul or Jake Paul are possible. Provided that Tyron Woodley is defeated on Sunday by the Youtuber, this would be another possibility.
