CONOR McGREGOR was left "heartbroken" after Hugo, his dog, died.
Hugo was there for McGregor in all the good and bad times. Hugo even slept on a bed frame with no mattress beside the UFC star.
Hugo was often seen running alongside McGregor
was preceded by McGregor's gentle dog.
McGregor posted the sad news via Instagram: "So heartbroken that my dog Hugo died.
"He was my closest friend and he was always there for me.
"From sleeping on a frame with no mattress to all the other things that followed.
"Thanks for all your hard work to make this a great life for my family.
"All the cuddles and love we will always miss our Hugo!" It is so sad.
Hugo McGregor is the best.
Hugo was the 33-year old's regular workout partner, often accompanying him on runs.
He was gentle with McGregor Jr., Croia, and Rian's three children.
McGregor also uploaded a video of Hugo taking in the sun while listening to Ed Sheeran.
He captioned his goodbye message with the following: "We got there at the end, my boy."
