McGregor is no longer in Forbes' top ten.

McGregor's stock has fallen as he continues his rehabilitation from the broken leg he suffered last year.

After earning EUR148 million the previous year, the former two-weight world champion beat stars such as Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to top billing.

After the sale of his whiskey Proper 12 for EUR497 million, The Notorious was able to climb the ranks.

He has not fought since losing last summer to Dustin Poirier, and he is now at the bottom of the rankings with Messi taking first place.

The list was topped by Messi, who earned EUR124 million. LeBron James, the NBA legend, came 2nd with EUR115 million. Ronaldo came 3rd with EUR110 million.

After earning EUR76 million, the only fighter to make it into the top ten is Saul Canelo Alvarez. He comes in at number 8.

McGregor wasn't shy to celebrate his top ranking on last year's list by having the Forbes magazine cover printed on a CAKE.

He wrote on Instagram: "Baby, we did it!" Uimhir a Haon. Forbes, thank you for acknowledging my role as an entrepreneur.

"It was an honor to be a part of this team with such talented athletes!" We are moving forward."

His failures in Octagon have led to him falling in the rankings, with only one UFC win in the last SIX YEARS.

McGregor was defeated by Poirier in January, before sustaining a broken leg which has kept him out of action for nearly a year.

However, the Dubliner insists that his wealth does not affect his career. He vows to return stronger than ever.

He stated that he would not consider returning to work after suffering this injury.

"Not an issue. These are the exact conditions I have been trained for.

"Here's a photo from my last camp. With @McGregorFastHQ team. Due to trauma or stress fractures, a shinig pad was taped to the left leg.

They keep saying that my accumulated wealth has put out my fire. They are wrong."
