McGregor, 33 years old, has recently returned to boxing training and has been working hard at the Crumlin Boxing Club, Dublin.
After nine months of inactivity The Notorious is now sparring with his training partners within the ring.
With his 45 million Instagram followers, the Irishman shared photos from his first sparring session.
The caption he added to his caption, which he concluded with a love-heart emoticon, was: "My first spar."

Fight fans were quick with their comments, one of which was "Return to the Mac."

McGregor, who has shown a quicker recovery than expected from his serious injury, revealed in February that it was possible for him to return to the cage this summer.
SunSport recently heard from Dana White, UFC president, that he does not foresee the Dubliner returning to action until the fall at the earliest.
According to the 52-year old, "We're looking forward to early fall, if all goes well."

McGregor's fall return date is dependent on McGregor being cleared to resume his full training.
White said: "If his leg heals well and he is given the clearance to start training, then he may be able to train in the early fall."
