Francesco Facchinetti, a musician, claims that he was attacked by UFC star.

McGregor, 33, was with Dee Devlin, his partner. They were in Italy to witness the christening in the Vatican of their youngest child Rian.

The trip ended with Facchinetti (41), and Wilma Faissol (39), making allegations to their 1.5million combined Instagram followers.

Facchinetti uploaded a video reliving the incident, and showed off his lip cuts.

He has now confirmed to ESPN that he had filed a complaint with Italian police after he claimed UFC star punch him.

Although he stated that he had a cut lip and suffered damage to his neck from the accident, he didn't specify what kind of neck injury he sustained.

Facchinetti said he doesn't want McGregor to be jailed, but rather wants to raise awareness of McGregor's behavior.

Notorious is currently recovering from the broken leg he suffered in the defeat to Dustin Pourier in July. He was also involved in a row at the MTV Video Music Awards with Machine Gun Kelly in September. Also, he punched another man in a Dublin bar in 2019.

Facchinetti stated: "It is something about ethics, Conor is f g danger. This is a problem.

He can do more than this, he could be even better. What happens when he punches another guy tomorrow? And that guy dies. What happens next? What happens to MMA?

According to Matteo Sergio Calori, Facchinetti's lawyer, criminal investigations are not made public by Italian law.

He added that he did not yet have access to the police reports but confirmed: "Mr. Facchinetti made a criminal claim against Mr. Conor McGregor."

Facchinetti said, "It's not about the money. Money is not something I care about. I'm rich. I have everything. I am married to a woman and have four children. I am the love of my life.

"If Conor McGregor wants me to give him $10 million, [I] don't care."

Facchinetti, who lives in Milan, has now confirmed that he filed a complaint at Mariano Comense police station.

It is expected that the case will be treated as minor assault and thus a civil case.

The hotel where the alleged incident occurred also confirmed that they had given cops CCTV footage.
