Conor McGregor's Cousin Seeks Guidance
Conor McGregor has stepped up to offer advice to his cousin Keith Buckley, a professional footballer who recently suffered an ACL injury. Buckley, who plays for Ireland Premier Division team Bohemians, sustained the blow in a 2-0 victory over St Patrick's Athletic last month. McGregor, who has experienced his fair share of ACL injuries, has been sought out by Buckley for guidance on the recovery process. McGregor's own journey with ACL injuries was documented in his Netflix series "Notorious."
McGregor's History with ACL Injuries
Conor McGregor, 35, is no stranger to ACL injuries. In 2013, he suffered an ACL injury in his fight against Max Holloway, which kept him out of action for nearly a year. Just 14 weeks before his fight with Chad Mendes, McGregor faced another ACL setback but managed to fight through it with an 80% tear. His triumph over adversity has inspired Buckley, who hopes to make a successful return to football.
A Positive Outlook
Despite the setback, Keith Buckley is maintaining a positive outlook and not setting his expectations too high for his return. He stated, "I had about an hour in the hospital [coming to terms with it] and that was it. Nothing you can do. I have three other limbs working. I’m healthy, I’m happy." Buckley, who is also the captain of Bohemians, is determined to overcome this challenge and get back on the field.
It's clear that Conor McGregor's resilience and success after his own ACL injuries have made him a source of inspiration and motivation for his cousin Keith Buckley. With McGregor's guidance and support, Buckley is determined to make a strong comeback in his football career.
