McGregor bought the pub in 2019 for almost EUR2 million and offered a reward to anyone who could identify the culprit.

McGregor posted CCTV footage of the incident in an Instagram post that he later deleted. He pleaded for help.

He wrote, "Hey guys!" You can get a 50k reward cash for every 100 crisp, unopened notes. They have not a wrinkle.

"The no wrinkle green backs. They are yum-yums to me. We need to know who the little deli-chicken head in question is.

"The distinctiveness of the walk, run, or scrawny building is all in their uniqueness. Nothing can be said, except done.

"Reach out and reach me. We look forward to doing business with you.

McGregor deleted the post and then gave an update in which he seemed to express gratitude for any information.

He replied, "Wow! That was fast. We are grateful to the Good Samaritan for his kindness.

Gardai are currently investigating the incident, which occurred earlier in the year.

Garda spokesperson stated that they are investigating an incident of attempted criminal destruction at a licensed premises on Drimnagh Road in Crumlin Wednesday 12 January 2022.

"The premises were not damaged." Gardai is asking for witnesses to the incident.

McGregor was seen enjoying drinks in his pub days after the attack, while he posted the photos to social media.

Black Forge Management released the following statement: "After hours last evening it appears that criminals made an inexplicable effort to inflict harm on the Black Forge Inn.

"There was no damage to patrons, employees, or the Forge. Mr. McGregor wasn't on the premises at that time.

"The gardai opened an investigation into this incident. We remain open and active as usual."

McGregor, a former two-weight world champion, spent more than EUR1 million to renovate the Black Forge Inn.

The pub was opened last year and has been frequented by stars like Frankie Dettori, star jockey, and James Arthur, X-Factor winner.

McGregor often shares videos and photos of himself enjoying a drink in a pub while he is not fighting in the UFC.

Since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier, the 33-year-old hasn't been back to the Octagon.

McGregor's time spent at the pub has been criticized by his fans, with some fearing that he is 'off the rails.
