Historic Rivalry
Conor McGregor has excited fans by revealing his plans for a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz. The two fighters engaged in two epic battles in 2016, with Diaz winning the first fight by submission and McGregor taking the victory in their rematch. Now, McGregor has promised Diaz that a third fight will happen.
McGregor's Response
Diaz recently commented on the scoring of their second fight, causing McGregor to respond on social media. McGregor expressed his regret for giving Diaz a rematch and stated that he never gets a rematch when he doesn't really lose. However, he ultimately assured Diaz that a trilogy fight will take place.
Three-Fight Plan
McGregor has laid out his plans for his next three fights, which includes the trilogy fight with Diaz. He first wants to face Michael Chandler, followed by Justin Gaethje, before finally taking on Diaz. These fights are expected to occur after his return to the octagon in 2024.
Chandler Showdown
McGregor's fight against Chandler, his rival coach on season 31 of the Ultimate Fighter, has been announced but the official date is still pending. McGregor's absence from the USADA testing pool is thought to be the reason for the delay.

No December Return
Although there was speculation that McGregor could headline the final pay-per-view card of the year on December 16, UFC president Dana White confirmed that this won't be the case. Instead, the card will be headlined by Leon Edwards' welterweight title defense against Colby Covington.
