McGregor plans to make a comeback to the Octagon in July
He's determined to make a comeback to his glory days in 2015-16, when he was belt-laden.
McGregor advised Charles Oliveira, the lightweight champion, to wait until July before he sets up a title fight.
The Brazilian is expected to defend the belt in May against Justin Gaethje.
Makhachev is also in the title photo, as is Khabib Nurmagomedov (a friend of McGregor).
McGregor was submitted by Nurmagomedov in the highly anticipated grudge match of 2018.
The Dagestani was there to support Makhachev in his TKO win over Bobby Green, the late replacement.
