Conor McGregor quit UFC trio Khabib Nurmagomedov and Nate Diaz fuming over disrespectful 'GOAT threads'

CONOR MCGOR single-handedly outraged three MMA competitors, Jon Jones, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Nate Diaz by a 'GOAT thread’ on Twitter.

McGregor, a not-so-humble brawler, placed himself at No2 on all-time lists behind Anderson Silva in 2020.

He vowed to take the top spot "easily" by the end of his career, which suggests that he might already be on par with Silva.

McGregor wrote: "GOAT THREAD. Anderson Silva is the No.1 MMA GOAT with his array of finishes in 2 divisions and champion status in 1.

"My 3 divisions of finishes with champion status in 2 have made me No.2 or tied 1.

"But, even if you're still active, No.1 has been fully secured by your career end. It's easy.

He named Georges St-Pierre third, just ahead Jon Jones.

The seven tweets he sent clearly upset some of his most fierce opponents. However, they retorted.

Jones was the first one to respond.

Initial comment: "I'm no longer going to debate who is the goat. I'll let my fans decide that."

Later, the No1-ranked pound for-pound king shared a list with stars who won the most UFC titles fights.

With 14 wins and no losses, he is the top of the list. Demetrious Johnson, Silva, and St-Pierre are second and third, respectively, with 13-2 records.

McGregor has been defeated by Khabib and Diaz, while Notorious had to retire last time against Dustin Poirier due to a broken leg.

However, Khabib and Diaz quickly shot down the list - on which neither appeared.

McGregor lost the rematch to Diaz who wrote: "Smoked is #1 p4p, double champ. You will see the real goat once you meet him.

"And don’t forget, I did it faster than anyone on the ground and sent Mayweather down with punches faster than Mayweather so f*** alll your rankings and see me as a real goat when I’m there."

Khabib defeated the Notorious in September 2018 by submitting in the fourth round. He then retired unbeaten from MMA with a perfect 29-10 record.

Russian added: "You tapped in featherweight, and you tapped into lightweight. You tapped in welterweight."

"You have never defended the title in the UFC, Cage Warriors, and you gave up more that GSP, Spider, and Bones together.

"You are the greatest @ufc fighters in Twitter history."
