Conor McGregor, the former UFC two-weight champion, couldn't resist commenting on a Bank of Ireland glitch that temporarily allowed people to withdraw 'free' cash from ATMs. McGregor, known for his love of money, took to Instagram to share a video of the chaos that ensued as news spread of the faulty ATMs.
A Short-Lived Cash Grab
The frenzy that followed the discovery of the glitch was short-lived. Customers quickly realized that there is no such thing as free money. Bank of Ireland has issued a warning, stating that all those who indulged in the temporary windfall will have to repay the withdrawn amounts in full.

Services Back Online
Although the widespread disruption caused inconvenience for the bank's customers, Bank of Ireland has confirmed that all services, including its app and 365 banking, are now back online and working correctly. The bank assured customers that overnight payments may appear in their accounts today, emphasizing that the technical issue has been resolved.
A Sincere Apology
Bank of Ireland issued a statement, apologizing for the disruption and acknowledging that they fell below their customers' expectations. The bank urged any customer who might face financial difficulty due to overdrawing on their account to contact them for support.

The Revolut Revolt
According to reports, the glitch allowed customers to transfer funds to their Revolut cards, even if their bank balances were minimal. While some people have claimed to access up to €1,000, the bank states that the daily withdrawal limit is €500. Once the funds were transferred to the Revolut account, customers could allegedly withdraw the cash from any ATM.
