CONOR McGREGOR needs to have a "tune-up fight" against Nate Diaz, before mixing it with Dustin Poirier for a fourth time.
This is according to Michael Bisping, a British UFC legend who says McGregor must 'blowoff that ringrust' after breaking his leg.
The Notorious sustained a broken fibula and tibula in the final round of his trilogy fight against Poirer. He is still recovering from surgery.
Bisping advised Poirier not to jump into the Octagon immediately after he has sworn off Poirier.
McGregor, a 42-year-old MMA legend, believes McGregor should finish his trilogy with Diaz.
Bisping stated on the Believe You Me podcast, "Hopefully we see that fight."
"I don't know if he'd like to come back, Conor, I'm talking after about a year of layoff and fighting Dustin for a third time.
"You want to wet your whistle. Find your mojo and get rid of that ringrust.
"Nate would be my guy. If Conor defeats Nate, then Dustin will fight him. Because, you know what, they're going to fight a fourth time.
"The fourth fight is going to be huge, but I think Conor would have a great manager. If I were advising him, I would tell him "take a tune up fight", you know?
McGregor was dealt his first professional loss by Diaz in 2016, with a choke submission.
The Irish star got his revenge later in the year with a victory over the American.
