The two-weight world champion in two weight has indicated that he will be back in the cage "real quick"

McGregor, 34 years old, has recently returned to kick with his injured leg. He believes it will not be long before McGregor is back in the Octagon.

The Notorious reflected on a thrilling night of UFC 277 fights and wrote in a tweet: "I'm buzzing cuz... I want to return."

"Good fights, good fight nights, good cards, and good pay-per view inspire millions all over the globe.

"Thank you so much for all the entertainment. I'll be seeing you soon."

McGregor, a former champion in two divisions, was apparently on track to make a huge return to the cage this autumn.

SunSport spoke to Dana White, UFC president earlier this year. "We're looking into early fall, if all goes well."

"If his leg heals well and he is given the permission to start training properly, then he may be able to train in the fall."

However, a setback in his recovery may have opened the door to a pivotal comeback fight for him early next year.

White last week said about the Irishman: "Conor's still not ready, Conor's leg has not healed yet."

McGregor returned to mixed martial arts training at SBG Ireland, Dublin, earlier this month. However it is not known if he has ever sparred.

John Kavanagh, the head coach, was impressed by the display of his star student upon his return to his gym.

The BBC was informed by the Irishman that he is happy, healthy and it's great having him back.

"The last few sessions here at the gym were MMA-oriented - he has the all-clear now.

"He had a great session last evening, and we played some amazing rounds. He looked great and hasn't lost any of his momentum.

"Trust me, we had a little bit of a wrestling match last night and it was great.

"When the silverback arm wraps around your neck, there's a little extra squeeze there... He's very strong at this moment."
