KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV admitted that he will never be satisfied with the outcome of his grudge match against Conor McGregor.
After almost two years of a heated, controversial build-up Nurmagomedov defended the title against the MMA star in the main event at UFC 229 Las Vegas.

McGregor displayed a brave display in his comeback fight, but ended up taping to a fourth round neck crank which left Nurmagomedov feeling very unsatisfied.
Nurmagomedov stated that he was preparing for war during a appearance on The Nelk Boys Full Send Podcast.
"I enter the cage and fight with this guy. He tapped. "Why did I come here?" I ask myself. Why did I train so hard to achieve this?
"You're going tap easily like that?" I took his chin and he tapped.
"This one makes me upset too, you know. Because I accept more than what is in the cage."
After McGregor was submitted, Nurmagomedov got fired up and attacked Dillon Danis, his cornerman.
He can't recall the exact beginning of the post-fight melee.
He stated, "I recall someone from my corner saying something and it was crazy emotionally.
"I don't want to say that I'm proud of something like it, but at 33 I can tell you that I wouldn't have joined the crowd now.
"I am like, "Okay, this party has not ended."
McGregor, 33, tried repeatedly to get Nurmagomedov to rematch the fight in the years and months that followed UFC's largest pay-per view event.
Nurmagomedov claims that no attempts were made to rematch the blockbuster.
He stated that he believed he was happy because of what would have been if the referee hadn't been there.
"They never asked for a fight again, there was not reason to make the match after he tapped in four rounds."
Nurmagomedov fought two more fights before he gave up in October 2020.
McGregor has fought three times in the past two years since the historic grudge fight, defeating Donald Cerrone at UFC 246. He also lost to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.
The Irishman is currently recuperating from the terrible broken leg sustained in the fight with Poirier's trilogy. He is aiming to return to the Octagon this summer.
