Conor McGregor's UFC Return is expected to take place towards the end 2022

Initially, he was expected to return in the summer.

However, the UFC president confirmed that the date will be moved towards the end.

White suggested that he could challenge for a title in the world octagon if he steps back into it.

Aaron Bronsteter was told by White that Conor will be able to return when he is available.

"Conor is unlikely to be back before the fall."

"So, we'll see where it is and what it's about. It will also show us how it all lays out.

"I don't know. We'll all see what happens when he returns.

"Whoever holds the title has a lot to do with who he fights."

McGregor hasn't won a lightweight UFC bout since November 2016, when he took down Eddie Alvarez for the title.

Inactivity has led to his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, who won at welterweight, and Poirier twice.

He fell to ninth in the lightweight rankings but his next fight could be a challenge for the belt.

Charles Oliveira holds the title and will likely keep it when he faces Justin Gaethje at UFC 274, on May 7.

McGregor and Oliveira would love to see it scrapped.

Sherdog was told by the Brazilian: "Not just him, but also me and all of humanity want to see that fight." Let's make this happen.

"It could be in welterweight or lightweight, with my title on line, or both." You just need to choose, and I'll gladly be there.

"I'LL BE BACK"

McGregor is expected to change his weight for his next return as photos showed his amazing body transformation.

The Notorious could face Jake Paul, a YouTuber, in a money-spinning fight next. A trilogy bout with Nate Diaz also is on the cards.

He is focusing on his full fighting fitness for now.

McGregor stated, "April should see me back sparring. It will all be weighed then. I would like a title.

"We'll watch what happens with weight, I feel strong and happy, I'm making progress day by day.

"I am only 33 years old, I'm not damaged, never been bust up, never scratched in my face so I'll return.

"I was advised to slow down, but I shadowbox a lot and am trying to figure out how I can create a style."
