The Irishman is expected to return to the UFC early next year

And he’s working with big Hollywood actor, Gyllenhaal, on the film which is set to be released in early 2023.

In Gyllenhaal’s remake, the American star plays the role of an ex-UFC fighter turned doorman tasked with cleaning up a notoriously rough bar.

It is not yet known what role UFC star McGregor will play and whether it will be fictional or as himself.

However, clearly the role comes with its fair share of cuts and scrapes as McGregor shared a picture to his Instagram of his bloodied and battered hand.

A UFC return for The Notorious is expected in early 2023.

McGregor hasn’t graced the octagon since he broke his leg in the conclusion of his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last summer.

And his opponent could be Justin Gaethje.

McGregor liked a post on Instagram which revealed key details of the fight.

Some UFC fans can’t wait for the return of the former double champ.

One responded to his latest Instagram post, saying: “Come back in the cage, king!”

Another said: “Just another day in the office.”
