In 2019, the former UFC two-weight world champion purchased the pub for EUR2 million.

Another EUR1 million was spent to renovate the space with a medieval-style long table with McGregor's Proper Twelve whiskey.

The pub opened its doors last July and showcased the spacious restaurant area as well as the large beer garden.

It has been a popular spot for celebrities, fight fans and McGregor himself since its opening.

The Dublin 12 venue has hosted big name stars like comedian Kevin Hart, Ian Wright, Arsenal legend, Coolio, and James Arthur, X-Factor winner.

Arthur claimed that the Black Forge was his favorite pub, even though he had stopped by it before a Dublin gig.

On Instagram, he wrote: "Thanks so much @TheNotorious for your hospitality today. The food and drink were some of the finest we've ever had!" The best stout in town!

"It was an honor to meet the man today. He is cool and charismatic, but also very humble.

The pub's first anniversary was filled with drama, including a shocking petrol bomb attack.

Gardai continue to investigate the incident, after two petrol bombs were thrown at a pub in January.

They also addressed reports that two pipe bombs were left on the premises.

Black Forge Inn Management released the following statement: "After hours last evening it appears that criminals made an inexplicable effort to inflict harm to the Black Forge Inn.

"There was no damage to patrons, employees, or the Forge. Mr. McGregor wasn't on the premises at that time.

"The gardai opened an investigation into this incident. We remain open and active as usual."

McGregor offered a EUR50,000 reward to anyone who could identify who had thrown the bombs. He also shared CCTV footage on social media.

He wrote, "Hey guys!" You can get a 50k reward cash for every 100 crisp, unopened notes. They have not a wrinkle.

"The no wrinkle green backs. They are yum-yums to me. We need to know who the little deli-chicken head in question is.

"The distinctiveness of the walk, run, or scrawny building is all in their uniqueness. Nothing can be said without being done.

"Reach out and reach me. We look forward to doing business with you.

McGregor didn't seem to be affected by the attack and was back in the pub hours later.

McGregor's time in the pub has been a concern for fight fans.

Since breaking his leg against Dustin Pourier last summer, the Dubliner hasn't fought in the Octagon.

Fans fear that his career is 'off the rails' following a series bizarre social media posts by the Black Forge.

McGregor wrote this bizarre and rambling post on February 2.

He wrote, "Eating and drinking on a gaf. My mother says whiskey is a madman's drink hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah who owns it ma? My Grandfather, thanks for the great house! The whiskey. The gargle. Five more minutes Ma. My Mother's bloodline! The Moore's.

"I have spirits that watch over this entire premise, watching over each patron who enters. Support. Protection. Guidance. Spiritual connection from the above Chaos. Ya ya yaaaaa hahahahaha I don't just make spirits, I have spirits!

"Ghosts on string. I was so embarrassed to see this pub. Thank you, please!

The UFC star, however, has promised fans that he will not drink when he returns to fighting.

On Instagram, he wrote: "For my fighter fans, I want you to know that I am enjoying my liquid. But, very soon, I will be retraining with full intensity and abstaining from my amazing creations of Spirit Ale and Spirit. Only 5 minutes, Ma.
