UFC chief Dana White revealed that the Irishman's return fight will be headlined by a PPV show.

The Notorious, despite his winless streak since January 2020 will receive top billing on a major pay-per-view card.

White stated that he is still one of the top ten men in the world during a Pardon My Take appearance.

"I mean, he is still one of top 10 best guys on the planet."

"It will depend on who he is fighting and other things like that. But Conor McGregor's return to the ring is a big deal."

McGregor has lost two of his five previous octagon appearances and was defeated by rivals Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dustin Poirier.

White, however, wants the Dubliner "stick around" for as long as possible until Father Time ends his career.

He said, "Eventually, once you start going in that direction. When a man gets to Conor’s level, this discussion about Nate Diaz is on the horizon, these guys make big money.

"I want these guys stay around and do as much as possible before it's done."

McGregor, a former two-division champion, has been intensively rehabbing the horrific injury sustained in his fight with Poirier in July.

Mystic Mac has already returned to the cage and appears to be on track to do so again next year.

Audie Attar, his manager, revealed to SunSport last Month that his recovery was going much better than expected.

Paradigm Sports Management Chief said that he was ahead of schedule.

"We received our X-ray results back, but we also got our CT scan and ultrasound results.

"And when I see the X-ray view myself, it's healing me so beautifully.

"He is walking now after only 10 and-a-half weeks of surgery.

"And he's doing s*** we don't want him do, like throwing the first pitch at a Cubs game."
