Dana White Denies Speculations
UFC President Dana White has once again shut down rumors suggesting that former champions Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, and Georges St-Pierre will make a sensational return at UFC 300. The promotion's 300th pay-per-view event is set to take place on April 13 in Las Vegas.
High Expectations for UFC 300
Fight fans are eagerly anticipating a massive card for UFC 300, drawing comparisons to the star-studded UFC 100 and UFC 200 events. However, White has made it clear that Rousey, Lesnar, and St-Pierre will not be part of the Sin City extravaganza.
No Return for Ronda Rousey
White firmly stated that Ronda Rousey, the former women's bantamweight champion, will not be coming back to the UFC. Since her last fight in 2016, Rousey has focused on other endeavors, including a successful career in the WWE and starting a family.
Brock Lesnar's Fighting Future
Brock Lesnar, who headlined UFC 100 and made a surprise return at UFC 200, is also not expected to make a comeback. White pointed out Lesnar's age, stating that the former heavyweight champion is "like 45 years old or pushing 50" and doesn't believe he will ever fight again.
Georges St-Pierre's Retirement
Similarly, White ruled out a return for Georges St-Pierre, who hasn't fought since his victory over Michael Bisping in 2017. St-Pierre claimed the middleweight title but has since stepped away from the octagon.
Officially Announced Fights for UFC 300
While Rousey, Lesnar, and St-Pierre won't be part of UFC 300, there are still exciting matchups to look forward to. Eight fights have already been announced, including a highly anticipated BMF title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway.
It seems like fans will have to wait a bit longer to see these MMA icons back in action.
