The Beast Steps into the Cage

Eddie Hall, the former World's Strongest Man, has officially announced his first foray into mixed martial arts (MMA). Hall will be making his MMA debut in February 2024.

Battle in Qatar

Hall's opponent for the highly-anticipated fight is Mitchell Hooper, the current World's Strongest Man. The two powerhouses will meet in Qatar for the Finishers Championship.

Unfinished Business

The Finishers Championship, which is set to launch in 2024, promises an exciting fight event. According to the promotion's website, it will feature top MMA fighters settling unfinished business in a 12-match eliminator, with a staggering $300 million USD prize money up for grabs. Celebrities and royalty are also expected to be in attendance.

A Sneak Peek

Hall confirmed Hooper as his opponent through a cryptic Instagram post. He shared photos and videos of the pair engaging in intense training sessions, showcasing their skills on the mat. The footage captured Hall throwing punches and defending against submission attempts during grappling exchanges.

A New Chapter

This will be Hall's second venture into combat sports since retiring from strongman events in 2017. In March of last year, he faced off against fellow former strongman Hafthor Bjornsson, losing by unanimous decision.

Strongman vs Strongman

Hall, who was crowned the World's Strongest Man in 2017, will now go head-to-head with the current titleholder, Mitchell Hooper. Hooper claimed his maiden title earlier this year, denying Brit Tom Stoltman a third consecutive triumph at the event in April.
