CONOR MCGREGOR'S sparring partner Artem Lovov will be competing in a charity wheelchair boxing match in September.

Holohan used to train at the same gym that The Notorious.

The comedian Sir Stevo Timmy is running the event. McGregor was to compete against Al Foran, an impressionist.

The two-weight UFC champion at UFC was forced to withdraw as he continues to heal from the broken leg sustained during his loss to Dustin Poirier.

As Middle Easy reported, Lobov was able to participate in this bizarre charity event.

After a TKO loss to Denys Berinchyk at Mahatch FC, he retired from bare-knuckle combat last month.

He won by unanimous decision in one of his most infamous contests against Paulie Malignaggi, 2019 boxing world champion.

Holohan, however, hung up his gloves and retired in 2015, but it was not the end for his career as an Irish icon.

The former flyweight fighter was elected to the Dublin City Council in 2019 as Sinn Fein's representative.

After being suspended in January over controversial comments, he resigned from the party earlier in the year.

Timothy will be taking on Paddy Barnes, the Olympic-medal-winning boxer.

Timothy spoke on Twitter and said, "What an experience. It was an amazing experience. It was a great experience to be invited up by @RusHammerMMA for some training before my fight with @paddyb_ireland.

"And not just that, he will now participate in the charity wheelchair fight against no other than @PaddyHolohanMMA."
