Awkward Elevator Encounter
Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad had an awkward encounter at the UFC 304 fighter hotel when they ended up sharing a lift with each other. Tensions were high as they stared each other down, with Edwards even breaking the tension by mocking Muhammad's moniker.
Professionalism Prevails
Despite the tension, both fighters remained professional and didn't escalate the situation. However, Muhammad did exchange words with Edwards' head coach after they got out of the lift.
Fans' Reactions
Footage of the incident quickly went viral, sparking reactions from MMA fans who claimed Edwards came out victorious. Many fans pointed out subtle cues in the video, with one saying, "Belal was scared as hell once Leon looked into his eyes."
Another fan questioned Muhammad's account of the lift incident, while others commented on the fighters' demeanor during the encounter.
Rivalry Renewed
This altercation comes ahead of Edwards and Muhammad's rematch at UFC 304 in Manchester, following their first meeting in March 2021 which ended in a No Contest due to an accidental eye poke.
