"How rude" - Paige VanZant, an ex-UFC star, HANGS UP to Ariel Helwani when he asks her the "squirly" question

A former UFC flyweight, Paige VanZant, cut short her interview to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani due to a'squirly question'.

VanZant spoke on The MMA Hour's latest episode to talk about her transition from fighting sports to pro-wrestling.

She ended the interview prematurely by telling Ariel: "Hey Ariel, you can be a bit squirly. Everyone knows that.

Helwani responded: "What does that mean, squirly?" What does that mean?

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant smiled and laughed, saying: "You're silly, you're silly."

"Anyway, I want to thank you for having me."

Helwani said, "This is how you're ending our conversation with you calling me squirly?" What was the one question that you didn't like?

"I feel like there was only one squirly query."

VanZant ended the Skype conversation before answering - much to Helwani's amusement.

VanZant's resignation was not taken offence by the Canadian, who laughed while he said, "She hung-up."

Helwani, a multi-award winning journalist, joked that it was rude to tweet: "How rude @paigevanzant."

After several appearances in promotion, VanZant, 27 years old, signed a lucrative contract with All Elite Wrestling.

PVZ is a champ to make her full AEW debut. However, she will continue competing at Bareknuckle Fighting Championship.

Former UFC star stated that it was not an exclusive wrestling contract.

"I am in AEW and will be wrestling for them, but they also allow me to be a part BKFC so I'm not done with boxing and certainly not done fighting.

"It was an incredible partnership that they were willing to work alongside me and all the other things that I still want to do."
