Israel Adesanya, a MMA superstar, has stated that he will never fight again in New Zealand because of its strict Covid-19 rules.
The Kiwis have successfully stopped the spread of the virus through some of the most severe restrictions in the world.
Israel Adesanya is New Zealand's most prominent sporting star
UFC Middleweight Champ Adesanya (32), is worried that he will NOTentertain another home crowd as a result.
His YouTube channel said that he would never again fight in New Zealand. They can make it from anywhere else with all that money.
"Their crickets, their rugbys and all the other exemptions they give to, but you won't ever see me fight here."
"It was one of my greatest dreams to headline a local stadium. This dream is dead in the water.
"That's how I feel right now... F*** them c ****, for what they're doing to my boy."
Adesanya was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He moved to New Zealand at the age of 10 before he began his MMA career.
He has since been a UFC legend, dominating the middleweight division with a remarkable 21-1 record.
Adesanya, however, has not fought in New Zealand since the UFC's breakthrough. He is also becoming more tired as officials close down gyms.
Dan Hooker, a fellow New Zealander claims that he isn't allowed to exercise at a gym where he OWNS because of the strict restrictions.
Hooker stated to The MMA Hour that he trains at City Kickboxing and also has a gym. Although I have my own gym, I am not allowed to use it.
"Under the lockdown I'm not allowed to go to that gym by myself according the New Zealand lockdown rules.
"Even though the gym is empty and I own it, it's not my place to use."
Adesanya added: "That p***** me off. It's almost like you are using your privilege for this.
"The constant effort of stifling, breaking up, and disrupting our team at City Kickboxing, from helping team captain Dan ‘Hangman’ Hooker get ready for his fight, is that's p ***** what I love the most."
