Former boxing champion Carl Froch has made a bold claim, stating that YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul would "absolutely slaughter" Conor McGregor in a fight, despite Paul's lack of boxing skills.

Backing Jake Paul

Froch, who has had his fair share of feuds with both McGregor and Paul, still believes that Paul would come out on top in a matchup against McGregor.

He said, "I no longer know what (McGregor's) motivation is for fighting; he's had a couple of bad beatings, and he's not short of a few bucks. In fairness, he's earned every penny and he was a phenomenal fighter, and you have to admire him for that."

McGregor's Motivation

However, Froch questions McGregor's desire to continue fighting and suggests that he should focus on celebrity matches rather than a crossover fight with Paul. He believes that McGregor would be better off "hanging around the Misfits and YouTubers" due to his massive following.

McGregor's History in Boxing

McGregor, 35, previously faced boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, 46, in a crossover fight in 2017, which he lost. Froch was a commentator for that bout and has held a negative opinion of McGregor ever since.

Jake Paul's Boxing Skills

Froch has also criticized Paul's boxing abilities, stating that he "can't fight for toffee." However, he still believes he could defeat Paul despite being retired for ten years. Froch dismisses Paul as a "performing clown" and hopes that he will eventually fade away from the boxing scene.

Despite their differences, both McGregor and Paul continue to be prominent figures in the world of combat sports, capturing the attention of fans and critics alike.
