Paul, a YouTuber and boxer who has been calling out McGregor for a long time, is a friend to Machine Gun Kelly.
The 24-year-old guessed that the scuffle might have been misidentify.
On ESPN, he said: "Some people say Conor McGregor mistook me for him because we look almost the same, like blonde hair and a little taller.
"That was just like the rumour that occurred, I find it hilarious.
"Conor McGregor is an excellent fighter. Why is he on a red carpet throwing drinks at Megan Fox or Machine Gun Kelly?" It is just irresponsible.
