Jake Paul closes deal to fight Hasim Rahman Jr. with Tommy Fury bout at the brink of collapse

JAKEPAUL is close to securing a deal with Hasim Rahman's son.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has been left furious after his grudge match against Tommy Fury looks set to collapse for a second time.

Paul claimed that Fury is the one to blame, claiming that Tyson's younger brother and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson refuses to visit the US Embassy to resolve a Visa issue.

Paul was able to find an alternative opponent and the show was scheduled for August 6.

Sports Illustrated suggests that he may have just found one.

Paul is close to a deal to face Hasim Rahman Jr., the 31-year old son of a famous father.

Sharif, Hasim's brother, tweeted that the fight was a "done deal", although no official confirmation has been provided by the men.

Famously, Rahman Sr KO'd Lennox Lewis at 20-1 in 2001 to become the unification heavyweight champion in one the sport's greatest shocks.

Seven months later, Lewis retaliated by stopping Rahman in his rematch and reclaiming his belts.

Rahman Jr. hasn't lived up to his father's legacy but has 12 wins, and only one loss on his professional record.

He would be an improvement on what Paul has seen in his six professional fights.

Rahman Jr shared a photo of Rahman Jr and him posing by a boxing boxing ring.

Rahman Jr. praised the unbeaten boxer on social media in March.

Pro Boxing Fans was told by him: "If he continues doing what he's doing, there's not reason to count his out in any fight."

"I am from the Rahman family. We know that when someone gets slept on, that's when they awake the world.

"So, don’t forget that he can beat, and you should stop sleeping on him. He can beat."

It is anticipated that the bout will take place at cruiserweight.
