Jake Paul opens door to MMA fight after boxing as YouTuber-turned-boxer reckons he could ‘do some damage’ in octagon

JAKE PAUL has ruled out a switch to MMA, but he still believes he can cause serious damage inside the cage.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer started flirting with MMA moves before Tyron Woodley's rematch last December. He has kept the prospect entertained.

However, despite his recent hints to the contrary, the Problem Child isn't currently thinking about entering the cage.

He told FOX Business that he would not be switching to MMA soon after being asked about it.

"But eventually I think I could see me doing a fight because of my wrestling background.

"It would be great if I could learn Jiu-Jitsu and rear-naked chokes.

Paul, 25 years old, claimed that he would compete in Khabib Nurmagomedov's promotion Eagle FC if the Russian retired to face him.

During an appearance on The MMA Hour he stated that he would fight Khabib in MMA if offered.

"That would be thrilling. This would be exciting, especially if there was more time to train. It would be quite a fight.

"Probably a million to 2 million pay-per view buys, and all I would need to do is improve my wrestling skills.

"Cause he could outstrike me standing up."

Paul is currently wearing his promoter's cap as he hypes Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor's eagerly awaited showdown on April 26.

The former Disney star also wants to return to the ring in September.

He stated, "There are many things going on in my life."

"I will be doing these press conferences in the next two weeks to promote Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano. I am also very busy with my venture capital fund on the business side.

"So, I haven’t even got back to the gym or been training at any point.

"I would suggest August-September, but I need to talk with my coaches. Perhaps later. It's something I'm working on.

"Obviously, if the stars align or I have a change in heart, then things could move around. But right now I don’t feel motivated to go back into another training camp."
