Jake Paul says Mike Tyson is his No1 target, but Tommy Fury's grudge match can still take place

JAKE PAUL said Mike Tyson is "by and large" his No1 target for his next fight. However, a grudge match against Tommy Fury IS possible.

Fury pulled out of the celebrity fight with American social media star Fury after breaking his rib during training.

Love Island's 2019 star is still up for the fight against Paul, but Anderson Silva, 47, is joining him, as well as Tyson, 55, a UFC legend and boxing icon.

While their score is not yet settled, Fury, 22-year-old could be overlooked in favor of a more prominent and lucrative name.

SunSport spoke with Paul, 25: "There's definitely an opportunity, he's listed.

"But we have bigger names right now. Anderson Silva is one of them, Mike Tyson is another.

PAUL IT OFF

Jake Paul talks about Tyson fight PS200m and predicts 4MPPVs, but slams Tommy

"We want Anderson to perform and, at the end the day, I want as many pay-per views as possible.

"So Tommy doesn't bring much to the table. His brother is a better promoter that him than his dad, and his father is a better marketer than him.

"I'm giving him attention and money, but he would have to wait until he turns 25-0 before he could get a payday that is comparable to what I would give."

Silva was released from the UFC in 2020, but has since won two boxing matches.

The first was against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., ex-world champion, while the second was a first round KO over Tito Oritz (46).

Silva will be back on May 14th on the undercard to Floyd Mayweather's exhibition fight versus Don Moore. It was held at a Dubai HELIPAD.

Tyson, 55 years old, made a surprise boxing return in November 2020. He fought eight rounds with Roy Jones Jr., 53.

The Reformed Baddest Men on The Planet has now retreated from a second fight in order to avoid hangingers-on and to make a profit.

This was until Joe Rogan, while podcasting with him, called out 5-0 Paul despite their 30-year age difference.

The YouTuber-turned prizefighter also admitted Tyson is now the frontrunner to boxing's August return.

Paul, who promotes the super-fight between Amanda Serrano, Katie Taylor, said that it is "by far, it's legendary."

It sells the most pay-per-views and gets me more excited than any other opponent to go to the gym and train.

"It's the most difficult of all the opponents, and to share the rings with a legend such as that would be a dream come real."

Last year, Tyson was in negotiations for a three-round bout against his old rival Evander Holyfield.

Holyfield, now 59, would be defeated in a farce fight against Vitor Belfort (45).

After one of the best fighters in boxing history was battered and offered little defense, organizers were left with a sad situation.

Paul doesn't have any fears for Iron Mike. He took Jones the distance, and in the eyes many, made the US ring greater.

Tyson was the one who said it.
