JAKE PAUL will fight Conor McGregor in an octagon match and says it will be a win-win situation for UFC fighters.
McGregor was publicly called out by the YouTuber-turned-boxer, but there are some conditions.
Jake Paul is ready for Conor McGregor's fight in the octagon.
Paul, in defeat, vows to donate his entire purse to UFC stars making less than $50,000 per fight. He will also not mention the promotion ever again.
If McGregor wins, McGregor will demand that Dana White, UFC president, create a healthcare plan and set minimum fight purses at $12k to $50k.
Paul has tried to persuade his Irish opponent into boxing, but now he is willing to give up on the home advantage.
He spoke out in an exclusive interview with SunSport.
"He is one of the greatest to do it. This isn't just about Conor and I, it's much more.
It's about creating a win-win scenario for UFC fighters, while giving UFC and Dana the chance to do the right things.
"It's a huge risk for me to get into MMA, but I'm willing to do it if it allows hundreds to benefit."
The UFC doesn't offer current or past healthcare to its fighters, as opposed to the NFL.
However, they do offer life and dental insurance to contracted fighters. This covers emergency medical evacuation, doctor services and physical therapy.
Ex-UFC fighters are still left with life-altering injuries. Spencer Fisher was one of them. He suffered from chronic traumaticencephalopathy.
Fisher was being paid $5,000 per month by the UFC until April 2017.
However, his independent contractor agreement was not renewed by Endeavor after the UFC had been taken over. This resulted in a decrease in business expenses.
Paul, 25, said: "Pay-and-benefits across combat sports are f***ed up.
"UFC has done a remarkable job building its business, but it did so with the help of fighters. It is unjust and not sustainable to give fighters 20% of the revenue.
"Providing long-term healthcare for athletes you control, who get their heads blasted in for your money, is immoral, and it poses a risk to the future of UFC."
"Spencer Fisher is not worthy to be in this situation without any support from UFC and Endeavour.
"The UFC literally has blood on its hands every week without caring for the long-term well-being of their fighters, while making huge profits." This has to change.
Paul declined to comment whether he had received correspondence from McGregor, the UFC or Paradigm's management company Paradigm.
McGregor, 33 years old, was asked to accept the fight.
Paul stated: "Conor, you've been selfish all your life.
