Paul also claimed that he would only lose 5lb to fight at the 185lb limit for MMA in a post on social media to Dana White, UFC president.

Conor McGregor's featherweight days were also highlighted by him as an example for drastic weight loss in the sport.

Paul tweeted White: "When my MMA debut is made, I could lose 20 pounds & do it as Welterweight / 170 lbs.

"That's exactly what UFC fighters do, and many have lost their bodies and minds doing it.

"But, I'm going to do it at Middleweight (185). First, health. PS Conor walks around at 190

Paul, 24, defeated Tyron Woodley (39), in their December rematch.

Woodley, 39 years old, had lost points four months prior and was only able to fill in after Tommy Fury (22), pulled out with a broken bone.

Paul has defeated all his opponents and also beat online rival 'AnEsonGib, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren.

Paul is already looking at MMA, even though he has not yet fought an opponent who has had professional boxing experience.

Even though White has been in a heated feud lately with him, the promoter did not rule out signing him one day.

White stated on the Nelk Boys podcast, "I don’t know." I don't know. Although I doubt that it would ever happen, I can assure you that I do not believe so.

"You know, Conor and Floyd were not my thoughts. I never thought I'd end up doing Floyd or any of my guys against Floyd. It just doesn't make sense.
