Jan Blachowicz, UFC's star, reveals how he lost his feeling in his arm after three hernias in the neck that forced him to pull out of the fight

Jan Blachowicz, a POLISH UFC fighter, has revealed that he had three hernias in the neck which caused him to feel numb in his left arm.

Due to the injury, Aleksandar Rakic had to postpone his fight against Aleksandar Rakic on March 26th.

Blachowicz stated in January that a spinal injury "around the neck area" meant that fighting next month was impossible.

The 38-year old revealed that he originally thought the sensation was caused by a bad sleeping position.

Sportsnaut was told by Blachowicz: "When I felt [pain in his neck], then I thought I wasn't sleeping well."

"Maybe I'm in a bad place and that's why my neck hurts. My physio wants me to get rehab, but it doesn't work. My physio tells me that this is a serious problem.

However, he soon realized that the problem was much worse than he initially thought when he began training and took hits.

Blachowicz said, "I went to training and we do some light drills. My friend kicked me on my head."

"I [held up] my guard, but I felt power. The pain then went to my arm and I felt the power.

"I could not feel it on my left side, from the hip, and all the way down to my stomach. This isn't bad sleep. It is serious.

Blachowicz made headlines last week for sensationally calling out Kurt Zouma's cat-kicking scandal.

On Twitter, he wrote: "If your mother is so tough, @kurtzouma kick me. This is a great piece of ***. Animal cruelty is unacceptable.

Blachowicz won the title of light heavyweight champion with a dominant win over Dominick Remey in September 2020.

The champion was then successfully defended in March 2021 by him against Israel Adesanya. He is now the middleweight champ and one the most prominent stars of UFC.

Blachowicz lost the title to Glover Teixeira in October last year through submission.

A date has yet to be determined for a rescheduled fight against Rakic due to the nature of his injury.
