Jarrell Miller trains with UFC stars at MMA Gy while serving a drugs ban but eyes boxing back to fight Tyson Fury

JARRELL MILLER was banned from boxing due to a drug ban. He has been training with UFC champions.

After failing three pre-fight drug screenings, the heavyweight was shamed for the first time in 2019. He also lost close to PS4million to fight Anthony Joshua.

The heavyweight is currently under a drug ban

Miller was banned for six months by WBA, but was reinstated by Bob Arum, a legendary promoter, and a Top Rank contract.

However, controversy struck again when his fight against Jerry Forrest in July 2020 was canceled after another failed drug screening. Arum then cut ties.

Miller was given a two-year ban but he continued to train at Sanford MMA in Florida, despite the doping scandal.

It is headed up by Henri Hooft (ex-Dutch kickboxer), and hosts the likes UFC stars Kamaru Uman, 34, Luke Rockhold (37) and Gilbert Burns (35)

Miller, who competed in professional kickboxing, was recently captured sparring Rockhold (a former champion).

Dmitriy Salaita, his promoter, said that kickboxing has been a part of the American's training but that he has his sights on a return to boxing.

Salita said to SunSport, "He is getting in shape with a mindset set to be the best in this division."

"He wants to be an American Heavyweight Champion of the World from Brooklyn, New York. That hasn't happened in a while.

"Jarrell did his kickboxing training for boxing fights.

It helps him stay in shape, and may be one of the reasons he is so athletic in the ring as a heavyweight.

Miller was first to test positive for human growth hormone (HGH) in April 2019. This substance is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.

After that, a urine sample showed traces EPO - which is known to increase oxygen-carrying capacity and combat fatigue – as well as GW1516. This helps to boost endurance and fat reduction.

Miller attributed the positive results to an injection to an injured elbow, and a tainted supplement.

Anthony Joshua's fight with Jarrell Miller was cancelled in 2019.

He tested positive again for GW501516 a year later. This time, he said it was due to a sex tablet.

He was given a two year ban by Nevada State Athletic Commission. This could be reduced to 18 month if he completes a drug testing program.

This would allow him to make a comeback in January 2022. However, it is unclear if those terms were fulfilled.

Salita knows Miller's first fight is to win over fans once again, and he anticipates a hostile reception upon his return.

He stated, "That's going to happen. Jarrell has many years left to make a difference in this division. I believe he learned his lessons.

"Positive and responsible actions inside and outside of the ring are what is most important. Fans will see that and can't blame anyone.

Miller, who hasn't fought since November 2018, when he beat Bodgan Dinu, has recently teamed up with Kevin Cunningham, a boxing trainer in Florida.

When he is not sparring with MMA's elite, he shares rounds with Dinu, 35-year-old, and current competitors Adam Kownacki (32), and Christopher Lovejoy (37).

Miller might have missed fighting AJ - he lost to Andy Ruiz Jr, then won the rematch – but Tyson Fury is his target.

Deontay Wilder (36), was knocked out by Fury, 33 in their recent trilogy fight in Las Vegas, his adopted US homeland.

Miller will be America's next challenger for the world title, and will once again be putting on the gloves with one eye on a super fight with the Gypsy King.

Salita stated that this fight was the most important heavyweight promotion in a very long time. It can be quite exciting.

"One step at the time, but that would be enormous."
