Due to a scheduling conflict, JOE ROGAN won't be commentating at UFC 271, JOE ROGAN will not.
He was to call the Adesanya Vs Whittaker 2 pay per view card in Houston, Texas tomorrow morning with Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier, former two-division champions.
Joe Rogan was to join the UFC 271 broadcast crew
Late last night, news broke that the podcaster would not be joining the broadcast team.
Aaron Bronsteter, TSN's anchor, tweeted: "Per UFC officials Joe Rogan had an scheduling conflict this week and will therefore not be on the UFC 271 call.
"He will be doing colour commentary for UFC 272 on March.
"Tomorrow's broadcast booth is made up of Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier, with Michael Bisping as the host."
The former middleweight champion Bisping, Britain's first and only UFC champion, flew in Houston last night to take Rogan's place.
Rogan's late withdrawal is due to the racism scandal in which he's currently involved.
Rogan's podcasts were awash with historical footage that was shared on social media earlier this month.
Rogan claimed that he and his friends "walked into Planet of the Apes" after they were dropped off in a predominantly black neighborhood to view the film.
Rogan posted a sincere apology via social media last week. He said that he never intended for it to be racist.
It's not my word to put it. Although I know that now, I have used the phrase in this manner for many years.
He said, "I hope this can be a teaching moment."
"My sincere, humble apologies. I wish I could say more. This is me speaking from the bottom my heart.
It makes me sick to watch that video. I hope you'll accept it and get my point of view.
Israel Adesanya, UFC's middleweight champion, jumped to defend Rogan earlier in the week and said: "Hold up. I'm Black. This one is mine.
"Look, there are a lot of c**ts here. This game is full of snakes. Since 2008, I have been participating in this fight game.
"Joe Rogan was one of the most humble, coolest and kindest motherf*ckers that I have had the privilege of working with. That is what you need to know.
"F**k the noise. You can see what they are trying to do. The man is impossible to control. He has the largest platform in the world at the moment.
"That's my Joe Rogan. F**k the noise. Joe, just keep going. Take some mushrooms. Keep doing you."
