CONOR MCGREGOR was warned that a grudge match against UFC star Justin Gaethje would be a 'dangerous fight for his return.
The Notorious will be battling Gaethje, a fan favourite, for Charles Oliveira’s title defense in May.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes that McGregor's notoriously vicious, and precise leg kicks by The Highlight would be bad news. McGregor is still healing from the terrible broken leg he sustained last year.
Rogan stated that Conor would be a dangerous opponent if Gaethje beat Oliveira in a recent conversation with Michael Bisping, a former middleweight champion.
"Because Gaethje kicks your legs better than anyone else"
"His leg kicks and wrestling skills are among the best in the world.
"Gaethje will kick you from the inside of a tie-up.
McGregor's possibility of winning a title shot after consecutive losses has caused anger in the MMA community.
UFC chief Dana White, however, defended the possibility of putting the Irishman in an MMA title fight upon his return.
According to him, The Underground asked him: "The problem with doing a interview is that every time I do one, all anybody wants is to know if Conor McGregor will get an interview for a f***ing title shot?"
"That's all they f***ing want.
"So, I'm going to say, "Well Conor McGregor hasn't even come back yet, so I don’t know, let’s see ...'.
"And anyone who's p ****d of because Conor might get (a title photo), you're also a f***ing idiot.
"If you are p ****sick, Jesus Christ. Calm down, buddy."
McGregor, 33 years old, has made a faster than expected recovery after the fractured leg suffered last year in his fight with Dustin Pourier.
The pride of Dublin hopes to return to the Octagon in the summer. Seconds Out reports that he told Seconds Out, "I would like [to] return at] International Fight Week. We'll see. It's up to me to keep it going day by day.
They said that I would be back sparring, twisting and turning in April. A few months ago, they told me I could box. Then all of a sudden, I couldn’t box.
"I'm taking it day-by-day, there's no hurry. I feel great mentally.
"Physically, my body is strong and I feel energetic. I am always ready to fight so I will just keep trying day after day.
"It will occur when the Lord desires it to."
